This is your time to reset and rejuvenate with our small group on a unspoiled and magical island !
From thousands of years old bubbling geysers, to flower-lined winding roads, hikes spiraling around dormant volcanoes, and natural thermal pools scattered throughout the island, São Miguel island is a dream.
São Miguel island is the largest island in the Azores, measuring 62.1 km in length and 15.8 km at its maximum width so everywhere we go is a fairly short but scenic drive !
August is one of the warmer sunnier times to visit with temperatures ranging
from 66 Fahrenheit at night up to 79 during the day !
Sao Miguel was voted one of the top 10 most beautiful islands in the world
and it reminds us of our past retreats in New Zealand, Costa Rica and Iceland !
This is a European Summer Vacation where you allow yourself to trust and relax and we guide you to slow down and go inward with gentle InnerFire Yoga and sound healing meditations then have daily active adventures like hiking / biking / boating, exploring quaint villages, soaking in various hot springs, Azorean culture with live music, lush gardens, pristine ocean and lakes, awe inspiring viewpoints, enjoying delicious fresh Azorean cuisine and the summer is the best time for seafood ( with wine if you'd like ! ).
We are staying in two luxury hotels with included use of their spas with heated pools, sauna etc -
both on the ocean. Rooms are upgraded junior suites.

* A Hot Spring Ocean Swim at Piscina Natural da Mare
* A 2 Hour Boat tour into stunning sea caves with dolphins likely to join -
leaving from the fishing village of Rabo de Peixe
* A Horseback Riding ( or walking if you prefer ) in the astounding landscapes of Janela De Inferno followed by luscious hot spring soak at Caldeira Velha
* A easy hike and walk through a ancient village and optional swim at the Salto Do Cabrito Waterfall
* A day at Furnas - a geothermal wonder town !
Including the Chapel of Nossa Senhora das Vitorias, stroll the famous garden at Terra Nostra Park followed by a swim in the hot springs lake ! Then in the afternoon stop by the bubbling calderas to see the fascinating geothermal activity and catch the local restaurants coming to cook !
* We will enjoy the yummy Cozido stew cooked in the fumaroles in the ground for lunch
and much more !
