Dec 17th The Intention of the day is : I Am Open, Curious and Playful and Connected to My Inner Child Inner Fire Intro Yoga Ceremony 8:00 – 8:30 ( meet in lobby ) then breakfast at hotel at 8:45am. Check out and depart at 9:50 am to depart on the way to Rotorua we will need to arrive by 11:50 am to have a tour of the famous Hobbiton and enjoy a gourmet buffet lunch there ! Stop at grocery store for supplies then check into Gemini Lodge, relax, take a swim or kayak on the lake. We will depart at 7 or so to walk around the famous geothermal area of Kuirau and at 8pm eat yummy Asian at Mekong Buffalo. Dec 18th Intention of the day is : I Trust and Surrender to The FLOW 9 am Root Chakra Yoga and bring a breakfast at the TUI Chalet for a Talk with author and naturopath Dr.Diana Joy Ostroff on the 5 Pillars of Health and Longevity, then relax and enjoy the fabulous property, swim, kayak, then at approximately 1:45 we leave to luxuriate in the
famous hot pools at Polynesian Spa with various healing mineral pools of different temperatures and alkalinity reflexology pool and more ! 1 hr. Aromatherapy Massages reserved for Dave and Iryna 3pm then Lorna, Ui and Fran 4:15. This arrival time is to allow for the completion of consultation sheet, Spa orientation and the necessary pre therapy soak in our alkaline and acidic lake spa hot pools. At 5:30 we will walk across the street to experience the authentic The Te Pō Indigenous Experience which begins with a buffet at our world famous Pātaka Kai Restaurant, Bar and Café with locally sourced cuisine and an authentic Māori twist in each dish ! Then we view an exhilarating cultural performance which takes place in the beautifully carved meeting house, Te Aronui a Rua. It will include a Pōhiri (Traditional Māori Welcome), Waiata (Song), Mōteatea (traditional chant), Poi and Haka. Afterwards, enter the geothermal valley on our waka (people moving vehicle) and discover one of New Zealand’s most magnificent geothermal wonderlands – featuring dramatic geysers, bubbling mud, and beautiful native bush. Enjoy a hot chocolate upon our naturally heated rock-seating beneath the powerful Pōhutu Geyser. This experience is approximately 2.5 hours long and suitable for all ages. D
Dec 19th Intention of the day is : The Energy of Love Creates my Realty Sacral Chakra Yoga 9am, ( eat lightly before or after ) then enjoy the property maybe have a swim or kayak on the lake then leave at 11:15 to have a lite French lunch at CafeDeParis. We will enjoy a Electric Bike ride ( with photo and snack breaks and the bikes can move you if you get tired ! ) from 1pm to 3pm . We will have a exclusive gateway to the forest through a geothermal wonderland. Explore the exclusive Whaka geothermal trails with our Explorer E-bikes and find yourself face-to-face with Nature, Hot Spring Lakes, Mud Pools, Geysers, Native Birds and manuka bushlands. We will then drive to kerosene creek natural hot springs for a swim. Get back rest relax and change for dinner at Atticus Finch at 6:45 !
Dec 20 The Intention of the day is : I Create and Choose My Experiences, Emotions, and Thoughts. Solar Plexus Chakra Yoga at 8:30 am ( eat lightly before or after ). We need to check out by 10 am to transfer to Sacred Waters in Taupo less than an hour away. Today we need to order our 2 course dinner at Plateau
Most likely not ready for check in so we may be dropping our bags keeping a bag with a swimsuit as we will have included tickets to see the incredible Silica Terraces and soak in the many famous restorative blue mineral water pools there at the restorative Wairakei Spa from 12:30 to 3 or 3:30. They have a onsite café too. I plan to lead a gentle yoga dance class in the pools if it is not too busy.

Also it is wonderful when we coordinate with other non Hawaii based attendees so they can try to fly in and fly out at similar times when possible so transfers are shared and easy to coordinate.

You are welcome to extend your trip too or fly in earlier at your discretion but you will be responsible for your own transfer if so. We will send out a very detailed Itinerary about 2 to 3 weeks before we fly as well as a packing list.

After breakfast and yoga we will leave by 9:15 am to drive 30 minutes to Tutukau Gorge Bridge (on Tutukau Road)
SOAK AT HOT BATHS & WATERFALL WITH ADMISSION INTO THE HIDDEN VALLEY a Geothermal walking track.
Our Geothermal trip is without a doubt the best way to experience the spectacular scenery and the geothermal wonders of New Zealand up close via kayaking the Waikato River, New Zealand largest river, down to the hidden valley of Orakei Korako Geothermal Park. From our base in Acacia Bay, we will drive ½ an hour north to Tutukau Bridge where we will begin our kayak adventure. As we meander down the glassy waters of the gorge, you will get to explore the warmth of the thermal springs flowing out of the river underneath you and see interesting geothermal activity along the way. Watch out for mini geysers, mud pools and look out for the steam beds as we approach every corner through the gorge. While taking in the beautiful scenery of willow forests, water meadows, clusters of water lilies and waterfalls towards the sides, you will also get to kayak pass ducks, geese, swans, shags, tuis and other water birds. If we are lucky, you may even see an eagle fly past overhead.
You know when you are nearing Orakei Korako as the geothermal steam will be quite visible. If the timing is right, you might even see the main geyser go off (water bursting out of the rocks) from your kayaks. The surrounding waters are quite warm, keeping your butt and legs nice and toasty. We will take a short break for refreshments before exploring Orakei Korako Geothermal Park. Take your time to walk around the hidden valley which features a volcanic world of gushing geysers, hot springs and bubbling mud pools and a hidden cave. Then eat a 2 course dinner of your choice ( pre order a few days before ) at Plateau at 7pm for around $36 US per person L Goddess Bellydance class tonight when we get back if we aren’t too tired !
Dec 23rd My Intention is to Honor Sacred Contracts by Co Creating and Sharing My Authentic Self. Enjoy Partner Yoga at 8:30 am and your breakfast. We will leave at 11 am drive back to Auckland ( 3 hours ) Then fly to Queenstown and checking into the entire Manata lodge just for us ! On our way we can stop at Pak and Save for snacks, breakfast foods, dinner tonight and our potluck party on Christmas! Relax at our huge and private lodge just for us.

Today we have a included ATV ( 2 people per buggy so you can drive or be driven ! ) adventure from 12pm to 2pm with stunning views and so much fun ! Not included in this package is : Round trip flights to New Zealand, additional meals or groceries, alcohol, gifts, laundry, phone, extra baggage fees, massage, your visa on arrival ( about $28 ), tips for guides / stays/ meals.
We require everyone pre-purchase Medical insurance - it is always bundled with some travel coverage as well. Typically $50 to $100 per person is sufficient coverage depending on your age. We will be flying into Auckland arriving on Dec 16th and depart Queenstown Dec 27th ( time TBD )
Those leaving Honolulu typically book on the same plane once we book ours ~ we will book flights in October.
I can help you to find the best prices for flights if you'd like help wherever your flying from.
Also it is wonderful when we coordinate with other non Hawaii based attendees so they can try to fly in and fly out at similar times when possible so transfers are shared and easy to coordinate.
Otherwise Uber is there to transfer you to or from the airport if needed.
Roundtrip from Honolulu it is pricing out around $1000 RT.
You are welcome to extend your trip too or fly in earlier at your discretion but you will be responsible for your own transfer if so. We will send out a very detailed Itinerary about 2 to 3 weeks before we fly as well as a packing list.
You must be reasonably fit, kind, a non smoker, and able to walk up and down steps, and not have any major health conditions before signing up for this retreat. Please consult your Doctor if you are unsure.
